The affordable housing lottery has launched for 142 Richards Street, a four-story residential building in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Designed by OCV Architects and developed by Cheever Development, the structure yields 17 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $94,115 to $167,570.
Amenities include assigned parking and outdoor space. Units come equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, and hardwood floors. Several apartments have private terraces. Tenants are responsible for gas (stove only) and electricity including electric heat.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,745 for incomes ranging from $94,115 to $139,620 and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,275 for incomes ranging from $112,286 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 7, 2022.

That’s the point. Affordable housing is income-based housing. You seem to be advocating for building exclusively low-income housing, which NYC already has in spades. NYCHA, Section 8, LIHTC housing, etc. If you required market-rate housing to include exclusively low-income housing, nothing would get built.
So that’s why there lot of homeless people out there no low income apt for us
