Leasing has officially kicked off at The Hazel, a new rental property at 89 Monitor Street in Jersey City‘s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and FieldsGrade, the six-story property comprises 114 apartments and a collection of health, wellness, and lifestyle amenities.
The Hazel is located within a vibrant business corridor with emerging restaurants, bars, local retail, and landscaped public green spaces. Studio apartments are now available starting at $2,290 per month up to more than $4,000 for a two-bedroom home.
“This neighborhood continues to attract new residents who see it as an appealing alternative to the towering high-rises and congestion of downtown Jersey City,” said Bill Rosato, managing partner of Alpine Residential. “Liberty State Park, with its more than 1,200 acres of public open space and a waterfront walkway, and Berry Lane Park offer a green oasis for relaxation, recreation, and peace of mind, while an ever-growing list of places to eat, drink, and shop bolster the area’s unique vibe.”
The Hazel features an understated gray brick façade with floor-to-ceiling windows and green accents. Each home is outfitted with fixtures and appliances, washer-dryers, smart lock entries, and nine-foot ceiling spans.
Amenity spaces include on-site concierge services, co-working space, a library with a fireplace, a fitness center, a demonstration kitchen, and a rooftop terrace with barbecues. The building also offers a Sky Lounge, a package room, bike storage, and an enclosed parking garage with electric vehicle charging stations and on-site electric scooters.
The property also houses a small ground-floor retail space whose tenant has not yet been revealed.
