Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a five-story residential building at 371 Hawthorne Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Located between New York Avenue and Toussaint L’ouverture Boulevard, the lot is one block from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Yoel Kahan of HSK Management Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 6,730 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 673 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 55-foot-long rear yard.

Asher Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
