Permits have been filed for a four-story homeless shelter building at 3972 Tenth Avenue in Inwood, Manhattan. Located at the intersection of West 212th Street and Tenth Avenue, the lot is within walking distance of the 215th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Lilia Marini-Calves of the Bowery Residents’ Committee is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 54-foot-tall development will yield 29,834 square feet designated for community facility space. The concrete-based structure will have 12 residences and internal office space.
Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in November 2021 for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
