Renovation and expansion work is nearing completion on 787 Eleventh Avenue, a ten-story commercial building in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Rafael Viñoly and developed by the Georgetown Company, the project involved the restoration of the historic structure’s façade, modernization of its interiors, and the construction of an 86,000-square-foot, two-story extension above the original parapet. JLL is in charge of leasing and Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by West 55th Street to the north, West 54th Street and DeWitt Clinton Park to the south, and Eleventh Avenue to the east.
Recent photos show the façade restoration and new glass-clad upper volume largely complete. A construction elevator remains attached to the northern elevation as interior work progresses, but should be dismantled soon.
Much of 787 Eleventh Avenue’s Art Deco façade ornamentation was preserved and refurbished.
Only a few portions of the original exterior were replaced with modern commercial frontage for two auto showrooms. Jaguar and Land Rover occupy the southern half, while Nissan is planning to take up the opposite northern end.
The old roof parapet now serves as a 12,000-square-foot landscaped terrace for tenants, and comes complete with a private tennis court. This space will provide occupants with panoramic views of the Hudson River, the surrounding Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the Midtown, Manhattan skyline. The lobby was renovated and the seventh floor was removed during the transformation process in order to create a double-height space. The existing widely spaced interior columns further enhance the expansive impression of the office floors.
Office amenities include a private garage with executive parking, on-site bicycle storage, 24/7 on-site security, and shuttle transportation. A partnership with The Mercedes Club will also provide workers with access to its 80,000-square-foot health club across the street.
A anticipated completion date is posted on the construction board for this January.

Very nice.
Jaguar and Land Rover occupy the southern half, while Nissan is planning to take up the opposite northern end. These areas for two auto showrooms, I think that this modern commercial added different colors to the lower part of building: Thanks to Michael Young.
Nice older building, esp. viewed close up.
Hi Dears Management: I need 3 bedrooms apartment. Thank you.
This turned out really well.
