The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Vitagraph, an eight-story residential building at 1277 East 14th Street in Midwood, Brooklyn. Designed by Woods Bagot Architects, the structure yields 302 residences and 151 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 23 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $70,560 to $187,330.
Amenities include a garage, courtyard, playground, a rooftop terrace, children’s playroom, business center, lounge, fitness center, bike storage, package lockers, attended lobby, pet-friendly policies, a shared laundry room, and a live-in resident manager. Units come equipped with air conditioning, hardwood floors, smart controls for heating and cooling, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,058 for incomes ranging from $70,560 to $156,130; 12 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,346 for incomes ranging from $80,435 to $156,130; one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,483 for incomes ranging from $85,132 to $187,330, and nine two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,830 for incomes ranging from $97,029 to $187,330.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 8, 2022.
