The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1200 and 1202 Decatur Street, a pair of four-story residential buildings in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by ARC Architecture + Design Studio and developed by Ariel Shalom under Threefold LLC, the structures yield a combined 16 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $77,143 to $187,330.

Amenities include gated access, virtual doorman, pet-friendly policies, and outdoor terraces including a rooftop terrace. Residences come with washers and dryers, dishwashers, fireplace, a patio or balcony, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,250 for incomes ranging from $77,143 to $156,130 and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,900 for incomes ranging from $99,429 to $187,330.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 14, 2022.

    How is this justified
    I am 75 I remember when no one
    But black n Latinos lived in
    Bushwick it was considered the
    Ghetto
    Now that the whites moved in neighborhood as with everything
    It’s now a great place to live
    N high rents are meant to keep
    the low n middle income out
