Permits were filed recently for a four-story school building at 88-40 179th Place in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 90th Avenue and Hillside Avenue, the lot is adjacent to PS 95 school and steps from the 179th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. New York City School Construction Authority is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 62-foot-tall development will yield 7,560 square feet designated for community facility space. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 30-foot-long side and rear yards.
David Ziskind of STV is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
