The affordable housing lottery has launched for Sunset Ridge Senior Apartments, a new nine-story building and two adjacent townhomes at 6309 4th Avenue and 414 63rd Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planners and developed by Fifth Avenue Committee, the structures yield 84 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 57 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $60,050.
Amenities include community events and classes, community room, media rooms and shared laundry rooms on each residential floor, and a rooftop terrace. Units come equipped with energy-efficient appliances. Rent includes heat and hot water, but tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 50 percent of the AMI, there will be 36 studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $53,400 and 21 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $60,050.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 17, 2023.
