Construction is nearly complete on 130 Hope Street, a seven-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by J Frankl Associates and developed by Clipper Equity, the structure will eventually comprise 143 rental units, ground-floor retail space, and a collection of tenant amenity spaces. The property was formerly addressed as 134 Hope Street and is expected to debut this spring.
The building’s massing cascades along Hope Street, then cleaves open to create a dramatic residential entryway, and an enclosed public courtyard. The textured brick façade is said to be an homage to the historic texture and expression of the surrounding neighborhood.
Apartments will range from studios up to two-bedroom units. A total of 43 apartments will be designated as affordable housing units. Amenity spaces will include a coworking suite, bike storage, a fitness center with dedicated space for yoga, a roof deck, a zen garden, play areas for children, and on-site parking.

“nears completion” yet not a single photo smh
Streetview shows the mostly complete building from October 2022. The mixed color brick is better than typically happens, but the renderings are much more flattering.
