Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 731 Liberty Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Linwood Street and Essex Street, the lot is two blocks north of the Shepherd Avenue subway station, serviced by the C train. Einav Gelberg under the 731 Liberty Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 53-foot-tall development will yield 7,491 square feet, with 6,913 square feet designated for residential space and 577 square feet for commercial space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 691 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
IMC Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in November 2021 for a two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
