Permits have been filed to vertically expand two two-story structures into four-story residential buildings at 1118-1120 Rogers Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Avenue D and Clarendon Road, the lots are near the Newkirk Avenue-Little Haiti subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Samuel Amsel is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall developments will each yield 4,847 square feet designated for residential space. The buildings will each have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 605 square feet. The masonry-based structures will also have cellars and 35-foot-long rear yards.
Oleg Ruditser of Engineering Professional Service is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permits call for expansions. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
