NOVA, a high-rise condominium property at 41-05 29th Street in Long Island City, has been granted a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy from New York City’s Department of Buildings. Led by SB Development, the building contains 86 apartments, an expansive collection of amenities, and 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Designed by Fogarty Finger, the building rises from a triangular parcel, which inspired the architects to deliver a wedge-shaped structure that resembles Manhattan’s iconic Flatiron building. The minimalist facade of the building features a mix of pale terracotta and windows famed in dark grey cladding.

Within the building, the condominiums range from ranging from 433-square-foot studios to three-bedroom layouts offering 1,210 square feet. Each home features chevron-laid white oak flooring, ten-foot ceiling spans, and stone-tiled bathrooms, as well as radiant-heated floors in select units.

Amenities include a fitness center, a resident lounge with an outdoor area, a children’s playroom, a dog washing station, a bike room, cold storage room, and a two-story roof deck.

“At NOVA, residents can expect to live a luxurious lifestyle in an intentional and harmonious environment where wellness meets opulence in the heart of Long Island City,” said Joseph Stern, partner and co-founder of SB Development. “Our team has gone above and beyond to meticulously craft every aspect of the building’s design and create a truly exceptional living experience.”

Today, over 60 percent of NOVA’s condominiums have sold and pricing for the remaining two bedroom homes begin at $1,150,000. Closings and move-ins are expected to begin soon with Modern Spaces as the exclusive sales and marketing team.

  1. I dubb thee “FI2”!

  2. They always say the sequel is never as good as the first… well here you go!

  3. Wow! It’s like a futuristic Flatiron Building. So neat to see if it was built 120 years later this is what it would look like and here it is.
