The affordable housing lottery has launched for 624 Metropolitan Avenue, an eight-story mixed-use building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Developed by Christian Pompa of Caro Enterprises, the structure yields eight residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $132,069 to $198,510.
Residences are equipped with air conditioning, hardwood floors, patios or balconies, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Amenities include a shared laundry room, elevator, and a virtual doorman. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including stove, hot water, and heat.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,600 for incomes ranging from $132,069 to $198,510.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 22, 2026.

I can’t believe they’re having trouble finding renters for a $3,600 one-bedroom.
bizarro rendering, looks ai slopish with the nonsensical design choices at the entry and the randomly off-center window
$3600 one bedroom and with that ugliness design no wonder still available.
Not only are the units expensive, the closest train is the G which pretty much guarantees a transfer for any trip you’re making to get virtually anywhere in the city which makes it even less desirable for the price. I already don’t feel sorry for developers and I doubly don’t feel sorry for developers that don’t understand the market.
