The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1216 Pacific Street, a four-story residential building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The gut-renovated structure is designed by McCaw Michael Ivanhoe Architect and yields seven residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 110 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $71,932 to $139,810.

Units have energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, and hardwood floors. Tenants are responsible for electricity with electric heat, and gas for stoves.

At 110 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $1,999 for incomes ranging from $71,932 to $124,300, and four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,144 for incomes ranging from $77,349 to $139,810.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 19, 2023.

    The interior… Not so much.

    Oh well, I’ll take it.
