The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1775 Coney Island Avenue, an eight-story mixed-use building in Midwood, Brooklyn. Designed by Studio Gallos and developed by Eddie Yair, the structure yields 75 residences and 22 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 23 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $74,572 to $227,630.
Amenities include a garage with assigned parking and electric car charging stations, a shared laundry room, common area Wi-Fi, gym, security cameras, and an elevator. Residences include dishwashers, air conditioning, charging outlets with USB ports, smart controls for heating and cooling, patios or balconies, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $2,175 for incomes ranging from $74,572 to $146,900; ten one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,925 for incomes ranging from $100,286 to $165,230; eight two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,650 for incomes ranging from $125,143 to $198,250; and two three-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,214 for incomes ranging from $144,480 to $227,630.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 15, 2023.
