1417 Avenue J in Midwood, Brooklyn via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1417 Avenue J, a six-story mixed-use building in Midwood, Brooklyn. Designed by Studio Gallos and developed by Robert Izsak, the structure yields 17 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,738 to $198,250.

Amenities include an elevator and a shared laundry room. Residences have hardwood floors, air conditioning, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,209 for incomes ranging from $75,738 to $165,230; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,463 for incomes ranging from $84,446 to $198,250.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than December 13, 2023.
