The affordable housing lottery has launched for 25-56 97th Street, a five-story residential building in East Elmhurst, Queens. Designed by A&T Engineering and developed by Lieng Shu Lu, the structure yields eight residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $92,572 to $198,250.

Newly built units come with energy-efficient appliances and intercoms. Select residences have outdoor space. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,700 for incomes ranging from $92,572 to $198,250.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 21, 2023.
