Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1214 Ocean Parkway in Midwood, Brooklyn. Located between Avenue L and Avenue M, the interior lot is near the Avenue N subway station, serviced by the F train. Eddie Yair of 1730 Ocean Avenue Development LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 62,989 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 2,249 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 38-foot-long rear yard, and 16 enclosed parking spaces.
Studio Gallos is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

These small SFH’s and 2-family’s facing Ocean are really biting the dust, though it’s actually surprising they lasted this long. Hopefully the new project is high quality and good looking.
I assume these beautiful trees will be cut down, so that the 7-story building will be able to “breathe”?! 🤔😡
Only the Parks Dept. is allowed to plant, trim, or cut down street trees.
why are these buildings even allowed to be built is amazingto me? they dont fit the neighborhood they block sunlight and air and unaffordable for anyone especially those that live there, bk is family oriented and it is slowly being taken from natural born bknites for people pockets
