Permits have been filed to convert a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1493 Dekalb Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Irving Avenue and Knickerbocker Avenue, the lot is near the DeKalb Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Yaniv Garbo under the Moore Residence LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 37-foot-tall development will yield 5,950 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 743 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 47-foot-long rear yard.

360 Engineering is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
