Permits have been filed for a 33-story hotel at 170 West 48th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the lot is one block from the 49th Street subway station, serviced by the N, R, and W trains and 47-50 Streets-Rockefeller Center station, serviced by the B, D, F, and M trains. Raj Guru of Atlas Hospitality is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 343-foot-tall development will yield 112,192 square feet designated for commercial space. The building will have 422 rooms, with an average unit scope of 265 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a loading berth, cellar, and restaurant and bar on the top floor.
Gene Kaufman Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
