Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 675 59th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue, the lot is located near the 8th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N train. Li Lan Wu is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 7,519 square feet, with 5,859 square feet designated for residential space and 1,660 square feet for commercial space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 651 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 32-foot-long rear yard.

Jonathan Chin of Indetail Architectural and Engineering is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits are not needed as the building calls for a horizontal and vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
