Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story mixed-use building at 882 58th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 8th and 9th Avenues, the corner lot is near the 8th Avenue subway station, served by the N train. Dan Yum Lin is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 45-foot-tall development will yield 5,171 square feet, with 3,875 square feet designated for residential space and 1,296 square feet for community facility space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 484 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 31-foot-long rear yard.
Jie Zhu of JX Flame Solution Inc. is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
