Permits have been filed to vertically expand an existing three-story structure into a seven-story commercial building at 17 Division Street in Chinatown, Manhattan. Located between Bowery and Market Street, the lot is near the East Broadway subway station, served by the F train. Wade Li is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 9,502 square feet designated for commercial space. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 20-foot-long rear yard.

Peng Liu of A Plus Design Inc. is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
