A proposal has been submitted to the Landmarks Preservation Commission for a property located at 39-45 48th Street in the Sunnyside Gardens Historic District of Sunnyside, Queens. The three-story, two-unit property is a brick row house designed in the Colonial Revival style by Clarence Stein, Henry Wright, and Frederick Ackerman and constructed in 1927.
The application, set to be discussed at the upcoming Landmarks Preservation Commission hearing on January 7, seeks approval for the reconstruction of an enclosed porch on the property. Additionally, the proposal aims to legalize the installation of through-wall vents that were previously installed without the required permits from the organization.
As of now, no supporting materials or additional details have been made publicly available for the upcoming hearing.
Transit nearby 39-45 48th Street includes subway stations with service for the 7 train, along with bus stops serving the Q104 and Q32 lines.
