The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1615 Cedar Street, an eight-story residential building in Midwood, Brooklyn. Designed by Cityscape Consulting with Input Creative Studio responsible for the facade and the interiors, and developed by Ramazi Mitaishuili of 1611 Cedar Street Realty LLC, the structure yields 17 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $123,258 to $218,010.
Amenities include bike storage lockers, gym, yoga and dance studio, outdoor terrace, common area Wi-Fi, green space, and a rooftop terrace. Units include washers and dryers, air conditioning, hardwood floors, intercoms, patios and balconies, and kitchen appliances. Tenants are responsible for electricity including stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,595 for incomes ranging from $123,258 to $181,740, and seven two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,244 for incomes ranging from $145,509 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 4, 2025.
