Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 259 22nd Street in South Slope, Brooklyn. Located between 5th and 6th Avenues, the lot is within walking distance of the 25th Street subway station, served by the R train. Daniel Kaykov of Giron Contracting Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 63,665 square feet, with 40,837 square feet designated for residential space and 16,827 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 40 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,020 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 60-foot-long rear yard, and 21 enclosed parking spaces.
Paul Lombardi of Design Studio Associates is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the three-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
