Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a five-story building at 684 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Rutledge Street and Heyward Street, the lot is near the Flushing Avenue subway station, served by the G train. Shimon Brach is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 72-foot-tall development will yield 14,381 square feet, with 10,114 square feet designated for residential space, 2,315 square feet for community facility space, and 1,952 square feet for commercial space. The building will have five residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 2,022 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and one enclosed parking space.

Yoel Rozenberg is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
