The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2423 Barker Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use building in Allerton, The Bronx. Designed by Badaly Architects and developed by Franco Sukaj, the structure yields 38 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 12 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $81,943 to $250,380.
Amenities include a garage with assigned parking spaces, bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, recreation room, storage, doorstep recycling collection, and an on-site resident manager. Units are equipped with energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, intercoms, and a patio or balcony. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $2,390 for incomes ranging from $81,943 to $161,590; eight one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,221 for incomes ranging from $76,149 to $139,620; two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,712 for incomes ranging from $92,983 to $218,010; and one three-bedroom with a monthly rent of $4,341 for incomes ranging from $148,835 to $250,380.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 8, 2025.
