Permits have been filed for an eight-story affordable housing building at 570 Eldert Lane in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Located between Glenmore Avenue and Pitkin Avenue, the lot is one block from the Grant Avenue subway station, served by the A train. Sandy Rozario of THBD 2064 LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 176,851 square feet, with 167,619 square feet designated for residential space and 9,232 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 213 residences with an average unit scope of 787 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and terraces on the seventh and eighth floors.

Martin Kapell is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed for the parking lot on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. IT IS VERY SHAMEFUL NYC HOUSING PRESERVATION WILL NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY FATHER COUNTLESS APPLICATIONS FOR AFFORABLE HOUSING. IN OR NEAR CYPRESS HILLS BROOKLYN WHERE HE GREW UP AND WHERE HIS FAMILY LIVES. MY FATHER A VIETNAM VET, WHO NOT VERY MOBLE AND NEEDS ASSISTANCE WITH A WALKER AND IS STUCK IN THE 14TH FLOOR WHERE THE ELEVATORS MOST OF THE TIME IS NOT IN OPERATION. I CALLED THE CITY AND I EMAILED THE NEWS AND STILL HAVE YET TO HEAR ABOUT ANY HELP.
