Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into an eight-story residential building at 875 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Olive Street and Bushwick Avenue, the lot is near the Graham Avenue subway station, served by the L train. Bei Chen is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 22,497 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 23 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 978 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 12 enclosed parking spaces.

Ivan Shcherbakov is listed as the architect of record.

Full demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical and horizontal expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. I’d like to see a rendering of the new building.
