The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1471 Amsterdam Avenue, a six-story residential building in West Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Urban Architectural Design, the structure yields nine residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $84,309 to $189,540.
Units include patio or balcony, air conditioning, name-brand kitchen appliances, counters, and finishes, intercoms, and hardwood floors. Residents also have access to a shared laundry room and elevator. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,250 for incomes ranging from $84,309 to $189,540.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 1, 2025.

They should have designed the kitchen better and had central air instead of units.
Where do you put a dinning area near the Frezzer? It looks poor. Remains me of 1960’s apartments where poor people lived. For the incomes they want inside there they could have done better than make the dining area look like it belonged to a person who works outside most of the time. Doesn’t do entertaining or have family dinners. Frezzer area poorly placed.
How is “frezzer” not the latest GenZ slang du jour?
This is 100% unabashed snobbery, but it’s a little known fact that they removed and reinstalled all that golden oak hardwood from a 1980s spilt-level out in Jersey.
