New exterior renderings have been revealed for 154 Lexington Avenue, an 11-story residential building in Rose Hill, Manhattan. Designed by Woods Bagot Architects and developed by Evenhar Development Corporation, the structure will yield 60 rental units and a religious facility. The site is located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 30th Street.
The rendering above looks southeast at the building, highlighting its symmetrical stepped massing and curved corner windows. The façade is depicted composed of floor-to-ceiling glass framed by white paneling and black metal spandrels. The first two stories are clad in black brick, and the entrance is visible at the southern end of the main eastern elevation within a crescent-shaped cutout.
The below image focuses on the Lexington Avenue elevation, showing a clearer view of the private terraces atop the building’s cascading setbacks and within multiple pockets. Dark metal railings will line each of these outdoor spaces as well as the roof terrace.
The property is currently occupied by the First Moravian Church and three abutting low-rise residential properties, as seen in the following three Google Street View images.
The closest subway from the development site is the 6 train at the 28th Street station along Park Avenue South.
Demolition and construction timelines for 154 Lexington Avenue have yet to be announced.

Very nice corner view. It falls apart a bit towards the other end. Worst of all, it destroys a unique, historic church.
So many real estate deals, as this does, seem to involve a ‘house of worship’
No one steps on a church in my town!
Where is Rose Hill?
It’s essentially Kip’s Bay
The Landmarks Commission should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen.
Being in Rundbogenstil, the church was likely built in the Civil War Era. Our Flushing Town Hall is similar.
The building is rather mediocre and somewhat pretensious. Some not-so-talented designer pushing for art0deco knockoff (why???) – The second floor windows are an abomination…
