The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Arcadian, a nine-story residential building at 975 Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by The Hudson Companies, the structure yields 328 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 99 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $103,235 to $261,170.
The amenity package includes a maker room, game room, resident lounge, community garden plots, basketball/pickleball court, tenant storage lockers, concierge, gym, yoga and dance studio, coworking space, media room, children’s playroom, and a rooftop terrace with BBQ grills and prep kitchen. Units are equipped with air conditioning, and washers and dryers. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including electric stove.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 47 studios with a monthly rent of $2,900 for incomes ranging from $103,235 to $168,480; 27 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,050 for incomes ranging from $108,926 to $189,540; 16 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,250 for incomes ranging from $151,543 to $227,500; and nine three-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,900 for incomes ranging from $175,269 to $261,170.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 19, 2025.
