I never thought I would see Romanesque Revival reappearing. This is interesting, though it might have been better if the wide window sections had been divided into two with a stip of brick. The metal cornice seems to have suffered damage already.

On second look, is this an older building being renovated?

    • The former, and what they’ve done to the facade could be fairly described as a mutilation. Even the arched windows at top couldn’t be left alone as the shoehorned a baker’s dozen poorly detailed new ones on all sides of them. The giant window openings below, whixh are a continuation of a modification made years ago, is an architectural abomination.

Can anyone — anyone — imagine something like this happening in London? Or Paris?

      Of course you can’t.

  3. I have sec 8 voucher I am looking for a one bedroom apartment please let me know

  4. Well their is some fit room for folks making $40,000.00 a year. Wish it were me. However I come from the generation where employers said you have no experience and show you to the door. This is as far as my employment efforts went. Had I been born later perhaps more opportunities would have araised. I would have qualified for the Housing Connection Apartments. But with that said good luck to those reaching the minimum income requirements.
