Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 1540 52nd Street in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Located between 15th and 16th Avenues, the lot is near the 55th Street subway station, served by the D train. Barry Perlstein is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 53-foot-tall development will yield 8,637 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have five residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,727 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and penthouse, but no accessory parking.
Mohamed Mahmoud of MSM Engineering Services is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in December for the residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
