Located at the intersection of East 153rd Street and 3rd Avenue, the corner lot is near the 3rd Avenue-149 Street subway station, served by the 2 and 5 trains. Shimon Kleinman is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 77,957 square feet, with 59,133 square feet designated for community facility space and 18,824 square feet for commercial space. The building will be used as a school with retail on the ground floor.
De-Jan Lu of DJLU Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

What happened to the building directly across? It was a luxury building called The Jacqueline – and then right after opening – units were taken off the market? As to this – it is good there is another school going in the area. Hopefully that will further push out the junkies.
