CityPickle has opened its 37,000-square-foot flagship facility at 1501 Broadway in Times Square, Manhattan. The new facility, located within the historic Paramount Building, marks the brand’s first year-round Manhattan location and will serve as its corporate headquarters. Located on the building’s eighth floor, the venue features seven professional-grade pickleball courts, a full-service bar and restaurant, lounge and event spaces, and a range of amenities. The opening comes exactly 60 years after the closure of the original Paramount Theatre in 1966.
CityPickle’s new flagship location includes 18-foot ceilings and a column-free layout preserved from the former theater space. Design firm Sentient Design Works, working alongside Tectonic Builders, retained historic elements including exposed brick and concrete finishes, while layering in dark green tones, leather and felt accents, and rift-cut oak.
1501 Broadway was built in 1927 and stands 32 stories tall. It is located within walking distance of the Times Square–42nd Street station, served by the N, Q, R, W, 1, 2, 3, 7, A, C, and E trains.
“CityPickle has always been about meeting people where culture, community, and sport collide,” said Mary Cannon, co-founder of CityPickle. “As the sport continues to grow at an incredible pace, Times Square felt like the perfect home for our next chapter. This space matches the energy, excitement, and inclusivity of pickleball itself.”

Oh, a bar! So pickleball is the new bowling? Any “sport” you can drink during play, like golf, is a fun sport. Let’s see how much longer this fad will last.
