Brooklyn-based Urban View has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 66 Maujer Street, in central Williamsburg. The project will measure 5,000 square feet and its residential units are expected to average 714 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Woody Chen’s Elmhurst-based Infocus Design & Planning is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot property is currently occupied by a single-story house. Demolition permits were filed in August. The Lorimer Street/Metropolitan Avenue stop on the G and L trains is six blocks away.

I finally found out why developers build 4×8,4×10 multi family units. No expensive parking requirements. Cheaper to build masonary structures than steel. Market rate rentals and condos. Did my research from Yimby articles and got the answers.

  2. Williamsburg getting caught in the plans of four-story, and around the building with rental apartments.
