YIMBY has the reveal for the latest rendering of a seven-story residential building under construction at 520 Parkside Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. The project is a sibling to another development, 111 Clarkson Avenue, a nearly identical structure connected at the rear. Both are by the same developer, Seth Brown of Aspen Equities.
The project had previously made news due to its previous occupant, a derelict, pigeon-infested Victorian mansion. The site was purchased for $2.7 million in 2013 and demolished in 2014. The new rendering reveals a brighter masonry façade, as well as a sense of the full scale. 520 Parkside’s exterior will be finished with twelve private balconies.
50 units will be created, none larger than three-bedrooms. Almost half will have balconies. Amenities include a tenant lounge, fitness center, and a roof deck with cooking equipment for all tenants.
Dome Architecture and Design was hired for the project.
Completion can be anticipated by later this year or next. Leasing has not yet started.
