Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 618 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is eight blocks away from the G train, whose service was shut down this last weekend. Pastor Luis Pastruizaca is listed as responsible for the development.
The 50-foot tall structure will yield 18,750 square feet, with 15,000 square feet dedicated to residential use. Some commercial space will be included on the ground floor, and a house of worship will occupy the cellar.
Up top, 12 apartments will be created averaging 1,250 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums. Four apartments will occupy each floor, with one unit extending into penthouse space.
Edward Hicks Architects will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet, and the new building permits are still pending approval. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
