Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 601 Baltic Street, in Brooklyn. Located on major thoroughfare 4th Avenue in the Gowanus neighborhood, the corner lot is five blocks south of Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center Station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W trains. Yiannes Einhorn of Einhorn Development Group is listed as the owner behind applications.
The building will yield 30,018 square feet, with residential space designated 22,659 square feet, and 1,654 square feet for commercial space. There will be 25 units created, most likely condominiums due to the average size of 906 square feet. The 100-foot tall development will have a concrete structural system.
The new applicant of record is Orlando Diaz of Form4 Design Studio PLLC.
Demolition permits for the 1920’s walkup apartment building currently on the site were filed in early 2018. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
