Curtain wall installation has begun on the lower floors of The Vandewater in Morningside Heights. Designed by Incorporated Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the new project is being developed by Savanna while Halstead Property Development Marketing is handling sales of the 183 condominiums. The 391-foot tall building is located at 543 West 122nd Street, and will span over 300,000 square feet, with 33 floors of new residential space.
Looking at recent photos, the exterior stone facade is being assembled piece by piece. Each piece contains one tall window panel with a gradually indented and stepped frame of warm-colored stone. This gives each piece an added sense of depth and creates a visual play of light and shadow.
Prices for the units start at $970,000 for studios, with the most expensive being a four-bedroom unit at $6,000,000. The Vandewater will have substantial amenities including a cobblestone motor court and double-height lobby, 24-hour concierge service by Luxury Attache, a fitness center with a yoga/pilates room, a 70-foot lap pool, a salon, a pet spa, a music room, a children’s playroom and private outdoor dining space, and two landscaped gardens designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA).
Occupancy is expected in Fall 2020.

Please pardon me for using your space: Don’t like design or don’t love design on details for under construction. Against imagination or against talk, just this you can find its freshness on 2019 beautiful step. (Thanks to talker)
Precast concrete is not considered ” stone”.
Many of the panels are chipped and damaged…. overall this looks like it will be an issue over time.
