Permits were filed for a new four-story residential building at 144 Bleecker Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Simon Kaufman of YS Realty is listed as the owner on the permits, and Diego B. Aguilera of Diego Aguilera Architects is responsible for the design. The site is located between Wilson and Central Avenues. The lot measures 7,982 square feet and sits next to St. Barbara’s Roman Catholic Church. The closest subway train is the M at the Knickerbocker Avenue/Myrtle Avenue station. The J train can be found to the south along Broadway.
The proposed development will yield 17,512 square feet divided among 26 units, averaging about 653 square feet apiece, a likely indicator of rentals. Standing 52 feet tall, the new building will be made with a reinforced concrete structural frame. It will have enclosed parking spaces for four vehicles and a 37-foot-deep backyard.
No renderings or a completion date have been announced yet.
