YIMBY recently went on a hard-hat tour of Madison House, aka 15 East 30th Street The slender 805-foot-tall tower is topped out as the tallest skyscraper in NoMad, standing 62 stories tall, and creates a distinct multi-pointed crown and silhouette on the Midtown skyline. The residential building is designed by Handel Architects, while Fosun Group and JD Carlisle are responsible for the nearly 300,000-square-foot development. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing.
Photos below show the wide, panoramic skyline shots of Lower Manhattan, Long Island City, and Midtown, and front-row views of the Empire State Building.
The sheer height of the reinforced concrete structure makes these views from the upper floors possible, and it is very likely that this will remain the tallest residential structure in the neighborhood for a good number of years. A number of notable skyscrapers and landmarks can be seen from the upper floors.
Meanwhile the curtain wall for the crown should soon wrap up and finish before the end of 2019.
Madison House also recently launched sales of the 199 condominiums, and each residence will span more than 1,600 square feet. 7,500 square feet of retail space will be located at street level, divided between two storefronts. The sales gallery is located across the street on the 12th floor of 44 East 30th Street.
The interiors are also being quickly worked on, and the ground-floor retail space is the last major external component to be built out. Right now, the future retail component part of the Midtown property is being used as a staging area for equipment, and is also where the exterior hoist meets the ground.
Completion of Madison House is expected sometime early next year.

I wonder if you can see into Bezos’ little courtyard from there?
Michael Young’s extraordinary photos will become an important archive of NYC history and he certainly will deserve the recognition and awards.
i agree, his pictures are so beautiful!
Any reason your not using it address 15 east 30 th ?
It got changed to 126 Madison Avenue, and the official name is Madison House.
Correction: Each residence will not span more than 1600 s/f. They have one and two bedrooms well under 1600 s/f.
Did you notice the tourist helicopters that hover just over this building all day?
Again, this district has its best views facing north.
