Permits have been filed for a nine-story residential building at 21 Mount Hope Place in Mt. Hope, The Bronx. Located between Jerome Avenue and Walton Avenue, the lot is one block north of the 176th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Also within walking distance is the Tremont Avenue station, serviced by the B and D trains. Aj Kurland under the Hope Place LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 39,877 square feet, with 31,429 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 55 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 571 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, basement, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
