Permits have been filed for an 18-story residential building at 30 Porte Plaza and a five-story mixed-use building at 15 West Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Quay Street and West Street, the corner lot is within walking distance of the Nassau Street subway station, serviced by the G train. Lipa Friedman of Halcyon Management Group listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 185-foot-tall development will yield 1,200,531 square feet, with 1,175,692 square feet designated for residential space, 21,539 square feet for commercial space, 3,300 square feet for community facility space. The concrete-based structure will have 181 residences and 142 enclosed parking spaces. The five-story building will rise 55 feet and hold 100 residences.
Hamish Whitefield Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

So this is the next phase of the 40-story tower development that you just “updated” us on last week, or is this a completely separate parcel? As usual, more questions than answers from YIMBY. Shoddy work. Why do you even bother doing this blog when you can’t even do basic research??
