Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 7616 Bay Parkway in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Located between 76th Street and 77th Street, the interior lot is within walking distance of the Kings Highway subway station, serviced by the N train. Hanjun Bai of H&Z Building Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 12,589 square feet, with 9,781 square feet designated for residential space and 2,808 square feet for community facility space. The building will have ten residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,258 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 38-foot-long rear yard.

Fran Huang of HPL Engineering is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
