Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1201 St. Marks Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Utica Avenue and Rochester Avenue, the lot is near the Utica Avenue subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Amit Gera of Five Star Hotel Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 42-foot-tall development will yield 6,746 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 843 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and two penthouses.
Ariel Akrab of Technemotion Design is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in February 2022 for the two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
