The General Motors Building in Midtown, Manhattan is now home to the Savoy Club, an amenity suite designed by Fogarty Finger. Located at 767 Fifth Avenue, the historic commercial building comprises 2 million square feet and overlooks Central Park.
BXP acquired the building in 2008 and began a major capital improvement plan to modernize the historic tower. The company partnered with Exos to bring the 35,000-square-foot amenity space to life with invigorating health and wellness programming.
In line with the building’s iconic marble façade, all areas of the Savoy Club feature a warm palette of marble, plaster, and white oak millwork to evoke feelings of relaxation.
This includes a spin studio, a yoga room, a full-service gym, a catalog of app-based fitness and meditation classes, restorative therapy and recovery services, and personal coaches for fitness and nutrition. Tenants also have access to a locker room complete with showers and name-brand hair and body products.
Beyond the wellness spaces, Savoy Club amenities also include a conference center with private event spaces, a cafe, a parlor lounge, and a library lounge.
“Access to wellness resources is just as important as other job factors like compensation, location, and amenities,” said Hilary Spann, executive vice president, New York Region at BXP. “The GM Building’s new Savoy Club introduces unique spaces that encourage convenience, efficiency, and collaboration, all of which are important in our clients’ day-to-day lives. We’re dedicated to creating premier workplaces and look forward to the positive impact these new spaces will have on our clients.”
BXP owns and operates approximately 10.6 million square feet of commercial space in Manhattan, primarily in the Park Avenue and Plaza districts. BXP recently acquired 360 Park Avenue South and 200 Fifth Avenue.

More like the view from the GM Building of the Plaza Hotel in the first photograph.
An odd choice! You gotta think the great Michael Young has a pic of the GM Building on file!
I would’ve loved to see a photo from Mr Young. I’m also wondering if that first pic is actually the view from the club or just a stock image
thnx, but why are we looking at the Plaza?
The first photo is the Plaza Hotel?
How do I join the club?
There’s a sign up table at the masked Carnival. The entry password is Fidelio.
This is no downtown gym from the 1970s and that tacky open ceiling fools nobody.
Let’s not be obtuse; the first photo is what it’s all about. This isn’t just a space high up in some random building. The design could never compete with the prestige of its location above all that.
